Don’t be fooled by their sleek design and beautiful colors, these are extremely simple to put together and are a great way to add plants to even the smallest spaces. Read on to learn how I make mine and how to maintain your plants. Supplies. Keep it simple. All you need is some potting soil (less than 1 cup per globe), simple top dressing like these stones, succulent cuttings and your globe. Succulent Planter Windowbox
A boring fence in our backyard has been calling for some attention lately and I finally found the perfect project for this area. This succulent planter window box seemed like a great way to add to my succulent collection (obsession?) and also add another element to our garden. I found this 30″ long window box at Lowes and it came with the liner and the frame. It didn’t take more than five minutes to put a couple of screws into the cross-piece of the fence and hang the window planter. Let’s be honest, most of the time window boxes require an amazing amount of work and dedication to keep them watered and growing well. I love succulents. My passion for these plants means that I have bought, begged, and even “borrowed” many different varieties along they way. I love coming up with a list of the best succulents for Florida to help others be their best gardeners too! I embrace my plant dorkiness and don’t even try to hide my enthusiasm when I see something new. (I have been told not to gasp with excitement when I see a great plant as Mike is driving though.)
